A dirt bike is the best bike to learn on. There are many good beginners bikes out there but make sure you buy one of the big 4 (Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki), I didn't mention KTM because they don't make beginners bikes. A lot of the decision will be based on your height. I am not partial to Honda over other brands but their CRF-F line offers more models than anyone else. They are perfect beginners bikes, and come in many sizes. 50, 70, 80, 100, 150 and 230, so there is a size for everyone.

I've had two decades atop dual sport tires. If you don't live

next to dirt riding countryside, can't afford hauling a steel

pony over public roadways, or won't ride like writer then no

dirt motorcycle is best for beginner. Otherwise, determine

what seating measurement from ground level best suits your

body height, and buy new to fall back on warrenty because

dirt usage will rapidly age the machinery. Avoid custom outfits until you know how the lay of land is better kissed.
