I am trying to learn how to ollie. Some of my friends told me it took them like two months, some said one day. How long does it normally take to learn how to ollie?

And I don't mean like crazy high or anything just be able to lift all four wheels off of the ground. Also how long did it take you?

believe it or not i used to skate way back in the day...

ollie is the bread and butter of skating..

it took me like a week to get it down..i mean were i could ollie up the curb.

it starts with the stationary ollie..were ur just learning balance, then the rolling ollie, then up the curb..

the most important thing is to remember to slide your foot to the front of the board after you tap the tail..as soon as you can do each phase 3 times in a row, then u too can say..it only took me_____________ to OLLIE

When you jump your front foot is what carries the board up in the air. That's how you "lift" all four wheels off the ground...

Look at how his foot is here: http://skateboard.about.com/od/tricktips/ss/HowToOllie.htm

Your back foot you want to slam to the ground as hard as you can... then lift your back foot up to give your board room to come up.

It takes as long as you want it too to learn how. I have a hard time remembering how long it took me, but it wasn't too long... it will happen for you.

Keep trying.

Let me know how it goes...
