K guys really noob questions here that I need answering:

>What does "Gas-Blowback" mean? Is there a difference between just "Gas" and "Gas-Blowback"?
>Can every gun shoot both plastic AND metal balls or are they differently made?
>What is a BB, the metal ones or the plastic ones, or both?
>What's better, Gas or Electric?
>Does "Airsoft" refer to using metal or plastic balls?
>In "Airsoft Wars" or battles whatever, are the combatants using plastic or metal balls?

Thanks guys, don't troll on me.

1) Gas refers to using a compressed propellant such as Propane or CO2. The Blowback is the action of some guns when the propellant moves the slide/bolt, simulating the actions of real guns. So put it together: Gas Blowback is an airsoft gun that uses a compressed propellant that racks the slide/bolt.

2)All Airsoft guns can shoot plastic and metal bbs. It's just a really bad idea to use metal bbs since they are METAL, for one part, and they hurt more.

3)The term "bb" actually was about real ammunition (Birdshot Pellets), since they looked like them. So the term can be for Airsoft or bb guns.

4)Depends. Gas airsoft guns can be more realistic, but for Professional players, their main gun should be an Electric. Gas guns are similar to the real firearms that they run off of gas, they may have a blowback system, and they come standard with a real capacity magazine, that is, to the RS (Real steel.)

5) "Airsoft" does refer to using plastic bbs. My definition of airsoft: Replicas of firearms that shoot plastic pellets similar to bb guns. They are not powered by combustion (explosion), but by compressed air."

6)Airsofters use plastic bbs, not metal.

Guns shoot either metal or plastic, not both. Air soft wars are with plastic pellets. Gas blowback means when you shoot the top of he pistol will slide back very fast. Gas means a CO2 tank. I would have to say gas is more powerful than electric bu depending on what your using the electric will be faster. BBs are the metal ones. Sorry if this isn't well organized but you got all your questions answered.

1.)Blowback means that a pistol automatically cocks itself, and it can be gas or electric powered.

2.)Airsoft guns can only shoot 6mm BBs. Metal BBs are usually 4mm.

3.)When someone talks about airsoft, they mean plastic.

4.)Electric is better for Assault Rifles and gas is better for pistols.

5.)Again, airsoft means plastic

6.) for the fourth time, they are using PLASTIC BBs.

In case that wasn't clear enough, they use PLASTIC BBs. I don't know how to make that any clearer, in the future, you don't need to ask the same question four times.

#1The difference between gas and gas-blowback, is that when you shoot it, the slide will go back and give you a realistic form of a pistol or rifle. #2There are airsoft guns, and BB guns, airsoft guns shoot 6mm plastic pellets, while a BB gun shoots 4mm metal BB's. #3both forms of metal and plastic pellets can be called BB's. #4Gas is much more realistic and easier to set up, but electric is faster to use and can vary its speed (rpm). #5"airsoft" only uses 6 or 8mm pellets in a skirmish. any metal BB's used in a game will possibly get you banned from that field. #6"airsoft wars" or how many people call "airsoft ops/skirmishes" combatants use plastic pellets. i hope this gives you a better detailed answer than the guy above.

1: gas blow back means the bolt is blown back with gas to simulate recoil

2: yes as long as they are 6mm

3: both

4: preference. i prefer electric because then i can use high capacity magazines and its cheaper

5: no, it refers to using air to project it and since it doesnt hurt, they call it soft. ie: airsoft

6: always plastic, metal is ussualy illegal (and they are called skirmishes)
