I live near Austin, TX and for the past week and half when I wake up in the morning I have 1-5 bites that swell in size up to larger than a quarter. I don't understand because my husband is not getting bit. Only me. The bites not only itch but hurt. I have one on my finger that has now swollen to make it almost twice the size of my other finger and is starting to feel numb. Please help!

Benedryl should stop that allergic reaction. But precautionary means to vaccum your whole room and change the sheets. set off a insect bomb to get rid of the rest. Or call Orkin out to do the spraying in the house.

do not just keep wondering what it is.

Most likely some type of spider. But it is possible you have bed bugs. Check carefully under your mattress and in the seams for small bugs. If you do... get rid of the mattress and fumigate your home.

Could be a spider, fleas, bed bugs or boils and have nothing to do with anything biting you.
