First off, owning either of these boards will not prevent you from getting speed wobble. They are both mediocre, overpriced slabs of bamboo. Stability is 90% in the rider, 10% in the setup.

if you really want to bomb hills, check out some earthwing boards

if you want to have more low speed fun, check out the kracked skulls scimitar.

Dervish is better, it is larger than the Tan Tien and that gives you more stability for downhill, both ends are symmetrical and that helps you when sliding, the trucks are for sliding, so i recommend you the Dervish, you should check them out in the loaded web page, www.loadedboards.com you search for boards and you can search for the characteristics of each board.

Both are flexy boards. Flexy boards = Not Stable.

Look at brands such as Earthwing, Comet, Landyachtz, Jet, Eastside, Gravity, Never Summer, Bombsquad, Tutone, Kebbek, Rayne, Honey, and Madrid.
