I bought an airsoft gun from speedy toys in los angeles for 60, shippng being 30 and currency converting added an extra 10$ totaling 110$. I live in canada, after it arrived, i was charged a REDICULOUS 70$ for customs and border tax. albertas border tax is less than 10%. SO im wondering why I was charged. Also wondering who i can contact to get my money back or some sort of rebate. If anyone else had this problem please post. Easy 10 points.
Thanks a ton.

When airsoft guns cross boarders (either it be China to America or America to Canada), they are subject to inspection by customs at random intervals. If they inspect your airsoft gun then they can tax you on it. It doesn't happen to everyone. Consider yourself unlucky

You really can't get your money back sorry,

I do know canada has a strict rule for airsoft guns, thats why many stores such as Airsoft G.I., Evike, and Airsoft Carolina don't ship to you guys.

you were lucky to get it over the border.

Most places give free shipping for orders over $100. In the future you might want to spend an extra $10 for $40 more gun
