The Longbow Sniping System is based off of the AGD Tac-One, which is $500. The rest of the kit, including the stock, magazine, etc is around $100.

Personally, I dislike the longbow. I just can't stand the "sniper-ification" of a gun as beautiful as the Tac-One, which is really built for easy handling in close quarters and even speedball. Used by itself, without the kit, I believe it is actually a more effective sniper weapon because if its relatively small size and weight.

On the other hand, the Carver One, a variant of the Tippmann 98, is a good sniper platform. With a good barrel and an HPA tank, it would be very accurate, and light enough for the long walks/stalks snipers often have to take.

EDIT: I recommend the gun posted in the link above. The Carver One is a good choice.

There is no such thing as a paintball sniper. All markers must be limited to 300fps or less. That means all the guys around you and all the guys shooting at you have the exact same effective range. Since no one really has a range advantage, the only thing you have is stealth. So what you are really talking about is the sniper position which is really more or less just a sneaky paintball player. Being really sneaky means using a lot of the sniper skills, but paintball moves much to fast to really do a low crawl and many of the sniper skills that require time. Learn how to move silently through the woods. So, what you want is something fairly quiet (barrel choice) and perhaps a low profile (under barrel Q loader) I'm not going to name any specific brands because any of several will be good choices. I use a standard electronic force feed hopper so even low profile isn't really needed. And watch your back. It might be me using it for a target. Keep in mind I start the day carrying half a case of paint and I can still be that sneaky. Shadow Wolf

More than you can afford. Stick with the brass eagle and you'll become a pro. You'll learn how to move better and learn different tactics when you have a sucky paintball gun.

This link should be all that you want. It's cheap, and quite a good gun.

I've been sniping in paintball for 5 years, and have played with this set-up. You won't be disappointed!
