I learned with a pump and can shoot really good with one it's just easier with a semi auto but a pump gun can be lighter. I also learned with a mossberg 500 12 ga with the 28 inch barrel, kicked like a mule but shot great.

i like 20's. i have a pump shot gun and i like it. its good if you like just playing for fun but i wouldnt recomend it for competitive shooting
