Are they any good opposed to a normal running shoe?

you really should find out what kind of running shoe you need. do you over/under pronate? do you need a stabilizing shoe? nike's tend to run a lil narrow and i've stayed away from them. quality running stores will look at how you walk to determine what kind of runner you are. that's really the first step in determining if the frees are appropriate for you.

No. Get Saucany with the grid cushioning. It's the most recommended by orthopedic doctors and they're sexier.
