I have been saving up for another aeg, and i have enough for a good plastic aeg, but i wanted to know if there are any real advantages to having metal. does the plastic break very easily? i can save up for a metal one if it is far superior.

The only real advantage is that metal bodied ones are heavier and therefore more realistic feeling. Plastic bodies don't really matter so long as the internals are metal. The plastic body won't break if you don't drop it too often. In fact, I'd worry more about bending the outer barrel if you drop your gun.

Basically, it's up to you, but the only real "advantage", if you can call it that, is that it's heavier. It's not overly superior since the internals are basically the same.

i would save for a real good metal aeg that you like if you dont want to do that (but still do this with the metal one) watch and read as many reviews on the plastic aeg before you buy it i make sure i watch at least 10 reviews before i buy a gun they are almost all good i just bought a A&K M249 SAW only after watching many reviews hope this helps you

Definitely go for the metal one. plastic ones break the first time you drop them, even on grass. don't ever go for an aeg under $75. The cm028 is pretty good.

plastic isn't "really" bad. for example: my metal aeg broke before my plastic one did. but thats not true in all cases. metal guns are relatively stronger than plastic guns.

i would recommend these weapons.
