trying to figure out what to go with... I mainly play woodsball with a large group of friends, and i'm researching stuff so i can have my own gear instead of borrowing everyone else's crappy backup stuff all the time haha.

one site says Diablo, evil midevil, and pmi premium are good picks, also read that Marballizers are good.

I dont want to shovel out $$$ for the marballizers or evil's I'm not a pro and don't plan on playing in tourneys. just want something that will work great with my setup (accuracy/range/etc)

so what do you think? anyone with this same setup found something they like that is reasonably priced?

what brand or brands and which type specifically?

for example: please don't just say "diablo"...they have 6 different types haha

more specific setup (what i'm planning on getting anyways):
98 custom or custom pro
14" or 16" J&J ceramic Barrel with APEX tip
Cyclone Feed System
68/4500 HPA tank with remote line

please no trashing my picks of equipment, just trying to get decent stuff for cheap, im not rich-er yet! just help me with the question at hand!

Thanks! and happy pb-ing!

Just go with recreational grade paint. Don't spend more than $40 a case. People who say getting the highest quality possible each and every time bug me, because they don't realize paint costs MONEY, and you have to buy it every time!

Mid-level grades can be just as accuracte as high-level grades if the company makes good paint. The main differences are the fill - tourney grade paint has super bright, super thick fill, so it's easy for refs to see and hard for players to wipe off. Sounds like a great idea for recball but it's not - recball isn't serious, it's just fun - and spending $50-60 on a case of paint is NOT fun.

I could recommend some paint, but i don't know what you can get locally, and you should buy locally whenever possible. Any paintball stores nearby? Even if it's an hour away, it'd be worth it to go to a paintball store for paint. Better chance of getting fresh paint in good condition, and it supports the local paintball community (if you don't support paintball locally, it dies).

I would say Evil, Marballizer are mainly for speedball but they will give you accurate shots and they will break everytime. RPS Premium, Diablo formula, WPN Elixir, DXS Silver should be good.

I got a few cases of evill for $35 each and it worked excellent

Sorry dude you can't get around the fact that the better paint you buy the more accuracy you get. Believe me I've tried! Go for what you can afford though and if it means you shoot a little off, so be it. I know a place in my town called Command Post that sells 2000 rounds pro-grade evil for $50. That's a decent discount if you ask me. Shop around.

Lastly, more accuracy means you shoot less. Did you get that? More accuracy means you have to shoot less and actually saves you money.
