Both are easy enough to maintain, the mini does have its own issues mainly because of the design of the board and regulator.

Really the rail will be the better choice. It is a smoother operating marker, better design, easier to program, and just a better feel.

I have owned mini's and every year they have done little tweaks to make it better but it still has the same basic design which is a pain and is a little on the small side. The axe is really just a bigger version of the mini.

Invert minis arent that good. I, an Axe owner, have used one before. Programming isnt that great. Although they dont have many downsides besides programming and awkward controls, the proto rail has much better programming. Go with the rail

If you got the cash, screw the mini, go with the Axe.

Your friend is an idiot!

He couldnt be more wrong. The Invert Mini is extremely easy to maintain. There is simply not much to do. One screw lossened a little bit releases the bolt out the back. From there its just a matter of a quick inspection for any debris. If the bolt and orings need to wiped, do so and relube the orings if needed. It only takes a few seconds to do all that and you are done.

The Rail is a good gun as well. Not as good as the Mini. And the Rail is a little more involved in maintaning it.

Go with the Mini! There is a very good reason why the Mini out sells the Rail 10 to 1.
